Scientific entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly important as part of the progress towards a knowledge-based economy, particularly in the most developed countries.
Entrepreneurship represents an engine to bring to society the new knowledge generated thanks to R&D as well as a possible path for the future personal and professional development of researchers, especially the youngest.
For that reasons, the FEBS3+ Congress includes as part of its programme two specific sessions specifically devoted to entrepreneurship from biomed & biotech research, with the name of Entrepreneurship Forum.

Round table "From Biosciences research to market through start-ups"What are the most effective incubation models to support start-up creation? What may we learn from the most relevant current tendencies in supporting Biotech start-ups in France, Portugal or Spain?
The round table will count with the participation of relevant representatives from public and private agents acting in the world of start-up & spin-off support as well as success cases of entrepreneurship in the Biotech sector.

Workshop “Raising funds for your start-up: The elevator pitch”
The elevator pitch is the most universal and recognized tool to present your start-up project in front of potential investors, from business angels to venture funds. There are plenty of start-up contests worldwide where the elevator pitch is crucial to attract investor’s interest and raise seed capital.
