Barcelona is one of the favourite European cities for holding congresses and for business. The
1st FEBS3+ Joint Meeting of the French-Portuguese-Spanish Biochemical and Molecular Biology Societies Congress will be held at the
Fira de Barcelona - Montjuïc Exhibition Centre, close to the Spain Square (plaça Espanya) in Barcelona.
It is centrally located in the city, easily accessible from the airport and connected to the public transport network. It is situated in a privileged setting, inside Montjuïc park, which includes green zones, Olympic facilities and cultural buildings, such as the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
The Montjuïc Exhibition Centre was built in 1929 to house the International Exhibition. It currently combines tradition with an infrastructure that can be adapted to all types of events.
The
Barcelona Palau de Congressos (Congress Centre) is located inside the Montjuïc exhibition centre. It has a floor space of over 5,800 m2, a large auditorium and 11 independent conferences rooms with a total capacity for over 2,900 people.
