Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception will be held on October 23 (from 19 h to 21 h)
at the MNAC located within 5 minutes distance from the Congress venue.

This Museum offers the best collection of Romanesque mural painting in the world and the most representativa artists of Catalan Modernism, such as Gaudí or Casas. Ghotic art, great European Renaissance and Baroque painters, for example Tiziano or Velázquez, and the collection of photography, complete the collection of the MNAC.

The cost of the welcome reception is included in the registration fee.

Congress Dinner
Congress Dinner will be at 21h on October 25 in CaixaForum Barcelona (Av. de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8, 08038 Barcelona), located at the foot of the hill of Montjuïc, very close to the Congress venue.

CaixaForum Barcelona is one of the most dynamic, active and lively cultural venues in the city. This old factory, a jewel of Modernisme designed by Puig i Cadafalch, has been restored and extended by renowned architects to host the CaixaForum museum.

During Congress dinner reception (21h-21h30) attendees can visit the exhibition “WARHOL, the mechanical art”, on the creative development of Andy Warhol, from his beginnings as a graphic designer in New York until his death, already a universal myth of pop art.

CaixaForum Barcelona is easily accessible by public transport.

Optional menus for special cases (vegetarian, allergies and others) will be available upon previous request.

Congress Dinner price is 45 €.

Dinner reservation and inscription are done at the same time.

On 23, 24 and 26 October the Gran Teatre del Liceu, one of the most important cultural sites and landmarks of the city of Barcelona, offers the performance Un Ballo in Maschera at 20 h.

Visit to the Barcelona Art Nouveau and the Modernism

Modernism is closely linked to the modern history of Barcelona. The guided tour offers the possibility to the congress attendants to know the art nouveau and the modernism, as well as getting closer to the work of renowned architects such as Gaudí, Domènech i Montaner and Puig i Cadafalch.

You will also visit the Museum of Modernism in Barcelona where you will be able to understand the splendor of modernismthrough an illustrative exhibition.
