This year the SEBBM congress coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the celebration in Madrid of the VI Congress of the European Federation of Societies of Biochemistry (FEBS,https://www.febs.org/our-activities/50-years-of-febs/), which brought together 2,200 scientists from around the world, including eight Nobel prizes, Severo Ochoa, Ernst B Chain (England), Carl F. Cori (United States), Sir Hans A. Krebs (England), Fritz Lipmann (United States), Feodor Lynen (Germany), Frederick Sanger (England) and Hugo Theorell (Sweden). In addition to the most famous national and international personalities of the Biochemistry of the time, Grande Covián, Grísolía, Oparin, Oró, Sols, Wyman and a long etc.
We have organized the following activities to commemorate this congress and to honor the founders of the current Spanish molecular biochemistry and molecular biology.
